Bristle Sprouts Art

This art begins with math generated black lines. Sometimes I add extra lines. Then I add color.

I've found that people seem more attracted to works with familiar elements. We each see things uniquely; what looks completely abstract to one may have familiarity to another.

The more I add lines and set colors intended to cue familiarity, the less the black lines are seen. The black lines are pleasing - they reflect efficiency in nature - so I try for a balance.
